Quick Goal by Yusuf Leads to Victory

Ameer Yusuf scored 15 seconds into the second half on Saturday as the Earlham College men's soccer team posted a 1-0 victory over Bluffton University.

Masaki Nakamura assisted on the play that broke open a scoreless contest, while eventually giving the Quakers their first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference win of the season.

The Beavers (4-9, 1-2) led in shots 18-5 and in corner kicks 8-0.

Yusuf had two shots for the Quakers, while Victor Zuniga, Nicholas Dey and Jacob Ebbs had one each.

Earlham goalkeeper Aaron Falsetto had seven saves for the Quakers.

The Quakers (1-9-1, 1-2) play at Transylvania University on Wednesday. The HCAC contest is at 7 p.m.
