Two Second-Half Goals Hurts EC

Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. â€" The Earlham College men's soccer team gave up a pair of goals in the second half on Wednesday as the Quakers fell 2-1 at Transylvania University.

Earlham got on the scoreboard in the first half when Andrey Gavriolov picked up an unassisted goal at 21:35 to give the Quakers the lead.

The Pioneers (6-5-1, 2-1-1) scored at 53:21 and 75:09 of the second half to claim the victory in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest.

Transylvania led 17-5 in shots and 5-1 in corner kicks.

Earlham goalkeeper Aaron Falsetto had six saves for the Quakers.

The Quakers (1-10-1, 1-3) return home on Saturday to face Mount St. Joseph University. The conference match on Matlack Field starts at 3:30 p.m.
