Quakers Fall at Franklin

Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. â€" The Earlham College men's soccer team had its season end on Saturday with a 2-0 loss at Franklin College.

The Grizzlies (8-6-3, 5-2-2) won the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match with two goals in the second half at 48:20 and 66:30.

Heading into the contest, the Quakers had a chance at qualifying for the HCAC post-season tourney with a victory or a tie. As a result of the loss, Earlham finished in a tie for fourth place in the HCAC with Anderson University. The Ravens lost 7-1 at Transylvania University to stay tied with Earlham, but they held the tiebreaker with a 3-0 win over the Quakers earlier this fall.

On Saturday, Franklin led 5-3 in shots and 3-2 in corner kicks.

Earlham goalkeeper Aaron Falsetto had a save for the Quakers.

The Quakers finished at 4-11-2 overall and 4-4-1 in the HCAC.
