Quakers Play to Third Straight Tie

Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. â€" The Earlham College women's soccer team ended its season on Saturday with its third straight draw.

The 1-1 double overtime tie with Franklin College moved put the Grizzlies (11-2-4, 7-0-2) in second place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, while giveing Hanover College (14-4, 8-1) the regular season title.

The Quakers had tied Manchester University and Defiance College 1-1 in their previous two contests.

On Saturday, Franklin scored at 25:20 in the opening period before the Quakers answered in the second half.

Cherrah Barclay scored her team-high seventh goal of the season at the 83:54 mark to send the match into extra sessions.

Franklin led 12-6 in shots and 10-6 in corner kicks.

Earlham goalkeeper Ashley (A.J.) Johnson had eight saves for the Quakers.

The Quakers finish the fall at 5-9-4 overall with a 2-4-3 record in the conference.
