Box Score NO. MANCHESTER, Ind. — The Earlham College men's basketball team faced Trine University on Saturday in the opener of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference/Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Challenge at Manchester University.
Trine won 66-40 over Earlham as Elijah Wilson-Thomas led the Quakers 13 points.
DeAndre Lynch added seven points and a team-high four rebounds.
Patrick Hawkins tossed in six points and grabbed three rebounds, while Darius Meiman had five points.
The Thunder (2-2) built a 10-0 advantage by the 15:49 mark of the first half.
The Quakers were able to cut into the deficit to make it 15-11 when Wilson-Thomas drilled a 3-pointer with 7:44 remaining.
Wilson-Thomas ended the first frame with another 3-pointer as Trine led 28-20 at the intermission.
In the second half, the Thunder score 14 points to begin the period as they were able to hold off the Quakers.
Earlham (0-3) finishes the HCAC/MIAA weekend with a Sunday contest against Kalamazoo College. The game is at 1 p.m.
