Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. — A late run by Kenyon College on Saturday gave the Lords a 79-63 win over the Earlham College men's basketball team.
After DeAndre Lynch scored and then added a free throw to make it 64-60 with 3:11 remaining in the non-conference contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center, the Lords (4-5) finished the game with a 15-3 run.
Taylen Alexander led the Quakers with 15 points. Elijah Wilson-Thomas had 14 points, six rebounds and a team-high totals of four assists and four steals.
Kyle Smith finished with 12 points, while Lajay Kelly led the Quakers with seven rebounds.
Kenyon held an early advantage, but Earlham responded as Wilson-Thomas put the the Quakers on top 17-16 at 10:41 of the opening period.
The Lords were able to tie the contest at 21-21 with 6:39 left in the first half and they went on to lead 38-33 by intermission.
Kenyon scored the five points of the second half to lead 43-33 with 17:51 left.
Later in the period, the Quakers rallied to grab 49-47 lead on a 3-pointer by Patrick Hawkins at 12:35.
Kenyon took a 52-50 lead to go on top for good at 9:33.
The Quakers (0-9) are off until a contest at home against Denison University on Tuesday, Dec. 30. The game gets underway at 7 p.m.
