EC Faces Panthers

Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. â€" The Earlham College men's basketball team fell 80-44 to Hanover College on Saturday in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference affair on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Kirk Douglas led the Quakers with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Lajay Kelly came of the bench to add seven points and five rebounds.

After Chris Holmes drilled a 3-pointer at the 17:43 mark of the opening period, the Quakers led 4-3.

Hanover (14-7, 10-4) answered from that time and built a 37-27 advantage by halftime.

In the second half, Douglas scored the first basket and cut the deficit to eight points, but the Panthers were able to pull away from there.

Earlham (4-17, 3-11) is on the road Wednesday for its next contest at Defiance College. The HCAC game begins at 7:30 p.m.
