Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MARYVILLE, Tenn. â€" The Earlham College volleyball team dropped two contests on the opening day of the Maryville College Invitational.

Oglethorpe University beat Earlham 25-15, 25-21, 27-25 in the first match on Friday, while Capital won 25-14, 25-22, 25-18 over in the second.

Kayla Morris led the Quakers with 13 kills against Oglethorpe (7-1).

Jolene Wells added eight kills and Emily Lim had six.

Ashley Hedrick led the way with 15 assists and Lim finished with seven.

Alexus Bex finished with 15 digs and Hedrick had 11.

Against Capital (5-7), Morris had a team-high 14 kills.

Hedrick had 14 assists and Lim had 10.

Bex had four service aces. Hedrick led Earlham with 14 digs and Lim had 12.  

The Quakers (3-7) finish the two-day event on Saturday with a pair of matches. They face Lynchburg College at noon before playing the host school at 4 p.m.
