RICHMOND, Ind. â€" The Earlham College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday in the Quaker Classic.
The Quakers fell to Trinity International University 23-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-17 on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center. In Earlham's second contest of the day, Kenyon College won 16-25, 25-22, 25-10, 25-20.
Kayla Morris led the Quakers with 14 kills against Trinity (3-2). Emily Lim added a dozen kills.
Jolene Wells finished with 10 kills and team-high totals with four aces and seven solo blocks.
Ashley Hedrick contributed 18 assists and Bria Robinson had 10 digs.
Against Kenyon (2-5), Morris had 19 kills. Hedrick had 24 assists and Lim had 12 assists.
Hedrick and Alexus Bex topped the squad with 10 digs and Well had eight solo blocks.
Earlham (1-5) gets back on the court today for the finish of the Quaker Classic. Earlham faces the University of Michigan-Dearborn at 10 a.m. The Quakers end the event against Wilmington College at 2 p.m.
