Quakers Visit HCAC Leaders

CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Earlham College men's basketball team dropped a 83-51 decision on Saturday to Mount St. Joseph University.

Elijah Wilson-Thomas led the Quakers with 12 points against the Lions (15-4, 10-2), who are on top in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.

Taylen Alexander was next with 11 points. Kyle Smith finished eight points. Patrick Hawkins led the way with five rebounds.

Earlham started off with a 5-1 lead at the 17:06 mark when Smith hit a 3-pointer.

The Lions tied the contest at 7-7 with 15:28 remaining in the opening stanza. Eventually, the Lions led 49-21 at halftime and they maintained their advantage the rest of the way.

The Quakers (0-19, 0-12) travel to the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Wednesday for a HCAC game at 7:30 p.m.
