RICHMOND, Ind. – Rose-Hulman ended the Earlham College men's soccer team's unbeaten season at home as the Fightin' Engineers defeated the Quakers 4-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Wednesday.

Rose-Hulman (10-2-3) scored two goals in the first 12 minutes. Charles Lynch and Alex Jansen were able to beat Earlham goalkeeper Nicola Manni to give the Engineers a 2-0 lead.

Earlham would surrender two more goals in the second half, marking the first time the Quakers had four goals scored against them at home since Oct. 8 of last season.

The Engineers held a 13-4 shots advantage including a 5-1 mark in shots on goal. The Earlham defense did for Rose-Hulman into four offsides violations.

Four different Quakers fired one shot with junior Bret Marshall's shot being the lone shot on goal.

Earlham falls to 7-6 on the season and 4-2 in HCAC play with the loss. The Quakers still sit in third place in the HCAC, however, with three games left. Earlham returns to action on Saturday for a 3 p.m. game at Manchester.
