Volleyball Ends 2015 Campaign with Loss at Manchester

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Earlham College volleyball team ended its season with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-15) loss to the Spartans of Manchester University in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play on Saturday.

Sophomore Kayla Morris led the Quakers with eight kills to go along with one service ace and five digs. Freshmen Ashleigh Burton and Denisha Mataia each added seven kills.

Mataia and freshman Jessica Dammeyer each added eight digs. Freshman Megan Hedinger dished out 24 assists in the loss.

Sara Pruden and Courtney Chowning tallied 11 and 10 kills respectively for Manchester.

As a team, the Quakers put down 28 kills and hit a .182 attack percentage. Earlham served up three aces.

Earlham's 2015 season ends with a record of 5-22 overall and an 0-9 mark in HCAC competition.
