Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. — There were a lot of smiles on the faces of the Earlham College men's basketball players on Saturday as the Quakers beat Anderson University 81-72 on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
Elijah Wilson-Thomas had a career-high 31 points to lead the Quakers in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest against the Ravens (13-12, 12-6).
In the final game of his career, Joe Adams celebrated Senior Day with 14 points and six rebounds.
Taylen Alexander added nine points, seven rebounds and a team-high four assists.
Kyle Smith finished with eight points, while DeAndre Lynch led the Quakers with eight rebounds.
Both teams held small leads the first half and the Ravens were on top 32-29 at the intermission.
In the second half, the Quakers fought back and took a 41-40 lead on a basket by Lajay Kelly with 15:10 remaining in the contest.
The lead didn't last and Anderson was in front 54-46 with 10:58 on the clock.
The Quakers were able to rally and Patrick Hawkins drilled a 3-pointer to tie it at 58-58 with 7:03 to play.
Making six-of-seven shots from all over the court during a stretch in the second half, Wilson-Thomas gave the Quakers a 65-60 advantage after hitting a 3-pointer with 4:44 to go.
From that point, the Quakers were able to put the game away for the victory.
Senior student assistant Mitch Mackiw was also honored for his time with the Quakers as a player and coach.
The Quakers finish the season at 2-23 overall and 2-16 in the HCAC.
