Johnson Makes Six Saves in Loss to Wooster

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team closed out its season-opening home stand with a 4-0 loss to Wooster at Matlack Field on Saturday.

Wooster (3-1-1) scored two goals in each half. Kathleen Kalafatis led the Fighting Scots with two goals in the game.

Sophomore Abbey Smith led the Quakers with two of the team's three shots in the contest. Both of the Mount Vernon, Ohio, native's shots were on target, but saved byWooster goalkeeper Carly Eppler.

Sophomore midfielder Kelsey Moore took the other Earlham shot.

Senior goalkeeper Ashley (A.J.) Johnson took the loss, but made six in the contest.

Earlham (1-2-0) play its first road game on the season at Wilmington on Sept. 16. The game is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
