Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College volleyball team fell to IU-East in its season opener in straight sets on Wednesday.
The Red Wolves jumped out to a lead in each of the sets and won the match by scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-11.
IU-East hit a .351 clip in the match as a team. Mallory Livingston led the Red Wolves individually tallying nine kills and a .421 attacking percentage.
Sophomore Kayla Morris notched eight kills on the day to go along with seven digs. Freshman Ashleigh Burton added four while freshman setter Abigail Sheehan dished out 13 assists.
IU-East improves to 4-5 on the season while Earlham dips to 0-1. The Quakers are on the road for the weekend as they travel to Adrian College for the HCAC/MIAA Challenge Earlham will face Adrian and Kalamazoo on Sept. 4 followed by Olivet and Albion on Sept. 5.
