Women's Soccer Blanked by Hanover

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team held Hanover College scoreless through the first 30 minutes, but the Panthers scored seven goals in the final two third of the game to defeat the Quakers in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action from Matlack Field on Tuesday.

Anna Cornacchione led the Panthers with nine shots and two goals. Haley Rees and Cassidy Evanson each scored a goal and an assist. Senior Jordan Kartman finished with one shot on goal for Earlham.

Hanover scored two first half goals in a two-minute span, and continued the pressure with five goals in the second half. In total, the Panthers took 36 shots compared to three for the Quakers.

Freshman goalkeeper Sari Stissi made 13 saves in the game.

The Quakers return to action on Saturday as Earlham hits the road to Franklin College. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
