Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – Junior Vojislav Tatarevic netted his second goal of the game in the 109th minute lifting the Earlham College men's soccer team to a 3-2 double overtime win over Franklin College on Saturday night.
The Quakers thought they had the game won in regular as Tatarevic broke a 1-1 tie with his first goal of the season in 72nd minute. Earlham could not hold the lead, however, as Conrad Bomber leveled the contest with just over two minutes to play in regular off of an assist from Sam Stallsmith.
Franklin nearly won the game in the first overtime off of a corner kick, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul.
The Grizzlies held a 17-16 shots advantage, but nine of the Quakers' shots were on net compared to seven for Franklin. Sophomore goalkeeper Nicola Manni earned the win making five saves.
Along with Tatarevic's two goals, junior Ismail Lapp-Kamara scored his second goal of the season.
The Quakers improve to 6-9 overall and 2-5 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) competition. Earlham will host Transylvania University at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
