Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. – Transylvania University scored two goals in the final five minutes of the first half propelling the Pioneers to a 4-0 victory over the Earlham College women's soccer team in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Wednesday.
Erin Koch opened the scoring in the 15th minute, putting the hosts up 1-0. The Quakers' defense held strong for over 25 minutes, but Transylvania's Maddie Sjogren and Bailey Browning found the back of the net 90 seconds apart late in the first half.
Leading 3-0 at halftime, Nicole Dal Pozzo scored the game's final goal in the 53rd minute.
Transylvania took 18 shots in the game compared to four for the Quakers. Freshman goalkeeper Sari Stissi made six saves in the game while Morgan Potts at two for the Pioneers.
Senior Cherrah Barclay and junior Abby McCullough each took shots on goal for Earlham.
The Quakers will conclude their 2016 season by hosting Manchester University for senior day on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
