Men's Soccer Falls 1-0 at Manchester in Season Finale

NORTH MANCHESTER, Indiana - Manchester University scored the game's only goal late in teh first half in a 1-0 victory over the Earlham College men's soccer team in the final Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) game of the regular season for both teams on Saturday.

Samuel Tetteh-Quarshie took a loss from Josh Gonzalez and scored the game's only goal with less than 100 seconds remaining in the first half.

The two teams combined for 36 shots in the game with Manchester taking 22 and Earlham firing 14. Both squads took just seven shots in goal combined with Joel Michael Nti-Kyeremeh taking both shots on goal for the Quakers.

Nicola Manni made three saves for Earlham in net and dipped to 3-5-1 on the year with the loss. Brady Foreman made one save in the win for Manchester.

Earlham concludes its 2017 season with a 3-13-1 overall record and a 3-5-1 mark in conference play. The Quakers finished the HCAC season in seventh place, marking a 2-spot improvement from a ninth place finish in 2016.
