Men's Soccer Falls at Rose-Hulman

TERRE HAUTE, Indiana - Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology scored two goals in the first 12 minutes en route to a 4-0 victory over the Earlham College men's soccer team in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Wednesday evening.

Michael Simmons opened the scoring in the fifth minute when he took a pass from Will McGowen and beat Earlham goalkeeper, junior Nicola Manni. Seven minutes later, Trevor Bednarek doubles the Fightin' Engineers' lead off a pass from Austin Webb.

Leading 2-0 at halftime, the hosts netted two goals in a 45-second span midway through the second half to complete the win.

Rose-Hulman outshot Earlham 16-4 in the game. Junior Yuki Adams fired two of those shots while senior Vojislav Tatarevic and junior Liam Ferguson took the two Quakers' shots on net.

Manni took the loss making five saves in the game while Rose-Hulman's Michael Lawrence earned the victory.

Earlham dips to an even 1-1-0 in the HCAC with the loss and travels to Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday.
