Box Score TERRE HAUTE, Indiana – Rose-Hulman outscored visiting Earlham College men's basketball by 12 points in the overtime frame on its way to an 81-69 win over the Quakers, in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup at Hulbert Arena.

THE SHORT STORY
Earlham College erased Rose-Hulman's late four-point lead, 62-58 with 2:51 remaining, on a 3-pointer by Kenneth Stalling Jr. followed by a conventional 3-point play by Jamel Barnes Jr. with 39 seconds showing on the game clock. Barnes' plus-one free throw knotted the game at 64-64, and each team missed late field goal attempts, sending the game into the overtime frame.
Rose-Hulman took the lead on a Craig McGee foul shot and fought off Earlham thanks to layups by Zach Callahan. The Quakers began putting the Engineers on the foul line in an effort to close the gap, but Rose-Hulman went 8-for-11 at the charity stripe over the final minute to clinch the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Jamel Barnes Jr. led Earlham with a career-high 26 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the floor and a 3-for-3 mark at the foul line. Kenneth Stalling Jr. was the only other Quaker in double digits with 19 points.
Chainey Zolman hauled down eight rebounds to lead the Quakers on the board, but Earlham was out-rebounded by Rose-Hulman, 37-24.
Blake Bonin dished out seven of Earlham's 15 assists.
Earlham charted a healthy .444 field goal percentage (28-of-63), but the Quakers ran headlong into a Rose-Hulman that connected on 27 of its 50 shots for a .540 field goal clip. Earlham had 10 3-pointers to Rose-Hulman's seven.
The difference in the game came at the free-throw line. Earlham committed 20 fouls, which turned into a 20-of-29 ledger for RHIT at the charity stripe. The Engineers were whistled for 15 fouls, but the Quakers earned just five trips to the foul line and made three shots.
Rose-Hulman had three players in double figures, led by Craig McGee with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists.
Michael Lake and Jacob Back charted 18 and 12 points respectively.
