RICHMOND -- The Earlham College women's basketball team dropped its second consecutive home game with a 100-67 loss to Muskingum University on Saturday afternoon.
The Quakers fell to 0-2 while the Muskies improved to 3-0.
Three Quakers tallied double-digit points.
Janaiya Bright and
Alexis Gibson led the way with 16 points each while
Amari Bradford recorded 14.
Amy Stewart led the rebounding effort with seven total. She was followed by Bradford with five.
Earlham exchanged the lead with Muskingum twice in the first quarter, but the Muskies held control over the match after that point.
The Quakers struggled offensively in the high-scoring game, averaging a 37.5 field goal percentage for the entirety of the game. This number was lowered by a particularly difficult second quarter where the Quakers shot just 17%.
Earlham rotated through its players in the final frame of play. Every active player on the roster saw action in some capacity during the fourth quarter.
Earlham continues its season on Thursday at UC Clermont. Tip-off is slated for 6 pm in Batavia, Ohio.
