RICHMOND -- The Earlham College men's basketball team preps for its 2021-22 season in Druley Performance Gym. The Quakers will once again be led by head coach
Joe Scheuers in his third season at the helm.
THE SCHEDULE
The Quakers have two home and two away games in November to prepare for Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action beginning with Manchester on December 4th at home. After Manchester, the Quakers travel to Anderson and Rose-Hulman before conference games take a break for the holidays.
Earlham will have three games during the holiday break and be back in action on New Years Day at Franklin College. The remainder of the season will be exclusively HCAC rivals with games on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
THE PROTOCOLS
Gameplay remains unaffected but there are important guidelines for fans. All entrants to the Athletics and Wellness Center at Earlham will be required to properly wear a face mask while inside the building, regardless of vaccination status.
SEASON OUTLOOK
Tommy Makabu and
Josh Ozanne were labeled as HCAC Players to Watch for the upcoming season. Makabu transferred to the Quakers last season and was the second leading scorer on the team with 126 points. He logged 326 minutes on the court and shot 47% field goal accuracy and 35% from 3-point range.
Ozanne was just behind on the points tally with 83 in the truncated season. The senior made 43% of his shots from the field and recorded 44 rebounds.
