RICHMOND, Indiana – A solitary goal from Manchester University's Julian Keough proved to be the difference-maker as Earlham College men's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision at home to the visiting Spartans at Darrell Beane Stadium.
Keough won a three-way footrace to a loose ball inside the Earlham 18-yard box, and sent a shot toward the left side of the Quaker goal for the game's only score.
Manchester had a 14-2 advantage in shots taken, and recorded eight corner kicks to the Quakers' three. Earlham keeper
Tyler Smith finished the game with three saves on the day.
Earlham men's soccer returns to action on Wednesday, March 17, when the Quakers head to Bluffton, Ohio, to face Bluffton University. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
