Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Earlham College volleyball team had its three-match winning streak snapped at the Illinois Wesleyan Holiday Inn Express Tournament on Friday, Sept. 10.
The Quakers battled Benedictine University in a five-set affair falling 24-26, 26-24, 25-14, 20-25, 19-21 to the Eagles in the two-day event.
Maria Young led the Quakers with 19 kills as
Giselle Mora finished with 17 and
Sarah Dickman contributed a dozen.
Erin Wagner led the offense with 36 assists with
Skyler Murray finishing with 12.
Defensively,
Akiko Tajima had 22 digs for the Quakers as
Caroline Mulvihill added 20.
Earlham is now 3-3, while Benedictine is 3-4. The Quakers face Illinois Wesleyan in Saturday's opener at 11 a.m. The final match of the day is against Monmouth College at 3 p.m.
