RICHMOND, Ind. - The Earlham College women's soccer team dropped it home opener 4-1 to John Carroll University on Saturday, Sept. 4.
The Quakers scored the first goal of the contest in the rain at Matlack-Messer Stadium.
Eva Lyon found the back of the net on a rebound at the 2:58 mark.
Tess Cunningham started the situation as her shot was saved, but not controlled by John Carroll goalie Danielle Delgiudice.
The Blue Streaks (1-1) scored three times before the end of the first half and added their final goal in the second period.
John Carroll led in shots 19-8 and 9-1 in corner kicks.

Becca Hancock had five saves for the Quakers.
The Quakers (1-1) return to the pitch at Spalding University on Wednesday, Sept. 8. The non-conference match in Louisville starts at 7 p.m.
