Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Quakers unable to find the net, slide to 0-3 with loss to Emory & Henry

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Earlham College men's soccer team wrapped up its portion of the Raven-Quaker Classic on Sunday, Sept. 5.

Emory & Henry jumped out to a fast start scoring at the 14:16 mark in the first half with a well crossed ball finding the head of Ryan Boyette.

The lone goal was just enough as the Quakers would fail to score, resulting in a 1-0 loss to the Wasps.

The Quakers led in shots 17-14 overall with a 12-5 advantage in the second half. Earlham also led in corner kicks 5-3.

Multiple scoring opportunities came about for the Quakers down the stretch, but each instance drew an offside flag from the assistant referees.

Earlham goalkeeper Tyler Smith had three saves for the Quakers. Forward Kevin Arias attempted seven shots on the afternoon, four of which were on goal.

The Quakers (0-3) travel to Michigan to face Olivet College on Saturday, Sept. 11. The non-conference match begins at 3 p.m.
