OLIVET, Mich. – The Earlham College cross country team got a taste of the course for the NCAA DIII Championship meet with the pre nationals event hosted by Olivet College on Saturday.
The Quakers recorded a best finish of 152 by
Alex Roberts in the men's field of over 300 runners. As a team, the Quaker men finished 33rd with a team score of 1030.
Roberts led the Quakers with a time of 27:03.7 with
Ian Gorley finishing second for EC with a final time of 28:18.
Lily Shamel led the women's squad, coming in with a finishing time of 25:54.8. Shamel finished in 224th place in the women's field.
Earlham will compete again on October 14 at the Jenna Strong Fall Invitational hosted by Wilmington College. The men's race is slated for 5:15 pm while the women's race will start at 6:15 pm.
