NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — The Earlham College men's soccer team continued its 2022 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference slate with a 3-1 loss at Manchester University on Saturday afternoon.
The Quakers fell to 3-10-1 (1-6 HCAC) while the Spartans improved to 4-6-5 (3-1-3 HCAC)
The Spartans lit of the scoreboard in the fourth minute of play with the opening goal. The home squad also added a score in the 17th minute.
Quentin Berry netted the Earlham goal in the 56th minute with an unassisted score to cut the deficit in half, but the Spartans responded with a goal just 27 seconds later.
The Quakers trailed in shots by a narrow 15-13 margin, and trailed 7-6 in shots on frame.
Duncan Jordahl collected four saves in his second start of the season.
Earlham will conclude its conference slate on Wednesday at Anderson University. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 pm.
