RICHMOND – The Earlham College men's basketball team returned to action with a 63-54 loss to Franklin College on Saturday afternoon in Druley Performance Gym.
Jaden Terry went 8-for-20 with 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Quakers, both team highs.
After trailing 10-4 early in the first half, the Quakers scored an 11-0 run to take a 15-10 lead. Earlham took its biggest lead of the half with a jumper from
Anthony Phillips bringing the score to 31-19 with 3:23 left in the half.
After the Quakers took a 32-26 lead into the halftime break, the Grizzlies scored a 10-2 run in the opening four minutes of the second half.
Tommy Makabu tied the contest at 40 with a jumper at the 10:57 mark. After closing up to a 46-44 deficit for the Quakers, Franklin outscored the home squad 17-10 in the final six minutes.
The Quakers will continue their slate at Transylvania on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 pm.
