LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Earlham College women's lacrosse team fell out of the HCLC Tournament with a 25-4 loss to Transylvania in the semifinal round.
The Quakers conclude their season with a record of 4-12 (3-4 HCLC) While the Pioneers improve to face Hanover in the final.
Claudette Roskamp led the offense with two goals.
Serena Pisacano scored one goal and dished out two assists.
Meredith McGraw tallied an unassisted goal in the third quarter.
Pisacano also led the defense with two caused turnovers and eight ground balls.
Mackenzie Kotch collected 12 saves in the cage.
The Pioneers jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes of competition. Roskamp recorded her two scores shortly after in the first quarter, with both assists from Pisacano.
Eager to build a strong lead early, Transylvania scored in the final seconds of the first quarter to take a 12-2 lead.
The Quakers end their season with a postseason berth after not competing against conference competition for two consecutive seasons.
