RICHMOND – The Earlham College volleyball team completed its final tune-up before the start of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule with a 3-0 loss to No. 22 Albion College in Druley Performance Gym.
The Quakers fell to 7-8 in their fifth matchup against nationally ranked teams.
Liv Kyrk led the offense on the evening with 11 kills on just three errors for a .348 hitting percentage. The junior also had a strong presence at the net with three blocks.
Erin Wagner dished out 32 assists while collecting 10 digs in the loss. Libero
Jen Shamel led the backline with 20 digs.
As a team, the Quakers were held to a .123 hitting percentage and surrendered 22 attacking errors.
The Quakers will be back in action tomorrow to begin conference play at Mount St. Joseph University. The match is slated to kick off at 1 pm in Cincinnati.
