RICHMOND – The Earlham College men's basketball team dropped a conference matchup with Mount St. Joseph University with a 69-57 final score.
Tommy Makabu led the offense with a game-high 22 points. The senior also collected four rebounds and had one steal.
Anthony Phillips and
Carter Abshear led under the board with five rebounds each. Josh Ozane reached 10 points while going 5-for-8 in field goals.
The Quakers got into a hole early with a 25% field goal percentage in the first half of play. The Lions scored nearly double the number of field goals as Earlham in the half, and boasted a 68% field goal percentage.
The Quakers regrouped in the second half with a 46% field goal percentage, and the home squad outscored the Lions 36-33 in the final 20 minutes.
Earlham will be back in action on Wednesday evening against Defiance College. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 pm.
