BLUFFTON, Ohio – After three second-half goals, the Earlham College men's soccer team fell to Bluffton University 2-1 on Wednesday evening.
The Quakers were outshot 12-2 in the first half, but six saves in the frame from
Tyler Smith contributed to a scoreless half.
In the 47th minute, the Beavers recorded the first goal of the game. The home squid added a second score in the 50th minute.
Earlham drew a penalty kick in the 66th minute, which resulted in a red card for Bluffton. On the kick,
Quentin Berry scored his sixth goal of the season.
Berry led the offense on the day with three shots on goal.
In total, Smith collected nine saves in the goal.
Earlham hosts Manchester University on Homecoming this Saturday. The senior-day matchup is scheduled for 3:30 pm in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
