FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team fell to Franklin College 2-1 in HCAC play on Saturday evening.
The Quakers fell to 3-9-2 (2-5-1 HCAC) while the Grizzlies improved to 4-7-6 (3-3-2 HCAC).
The Grizzlies took the lead with a goal in the ninth minute of play, but less than 20 seconds later,
Isabel Slone returned the favor with a goal from the edge of the penalty area.
Franklin scored a go-ahead goal in the 17th minute.
Slone took the only two shots of the match for the Quakers.
Earlham was outshot 11-2, and trailed 8-0 in corner kicks.
Makayla Hurey collected five saves in goal.
Earlham will conclude its season at Anderson University on Wednesday at 3:30 pm.
