SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The Earlham College cross country team competed in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship meet at Blue River Cross Country Course on Saturday.
The men's team finished in seventh place with a 184 final score, led by
Connor Del Carmen.
Del Carmen earned All-HCAC honors with a third-place finish in the 8k race. The junior ran a time of 25:53.40. This is the second time Del Carmen has earned all-conference honors for cross country.
Ethan Rose finished in 42nd place with a finishing time of 28:19.95.
On the women's team,
Lily Schamel led the Quakers with a 6k time of 26:35.28, which earned her 29th place.
Katelyn Trotto finished just two minutes behind in 58th place.
Select individuals will continue their season on November 11 at the Great Lakes Regional Meet hosted by John Carroll University. The regional meet determines qualifiers for the NCAA Championship meet in Newville, Pa. on November 18.
