WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Earlham College field hockey team fell to Washington and Jefferson University 5-1 in North Coast Athletic Conference competition.
Held scoreless in the opening frame, the Presidents scored three goals in the second quarter.
Trailing 5-0,
Piper Brill scored in the 53rd minute of play on a long shot that was deflected in front of the goal.
Earlham was outshot 14-3 on the afternoon.
Rachel Alma collected eight saves in the cage.
The Quakers host Ohio Wesleyan University on Wednesday evening at 5 pm in Darrell Beane Stadium.
