RICHMOND – The Earlham College men's basketball team concluded its 2022-23 season with a 78-69 loss on Senior Day to Transylvania University. 

Jaden Terry led the Quakers with 18 points and five rebounds. Fellow senior Tommy Makabu recorded 25 points and a team-high eight boards. Anthony Phillips led the defense with six steals. 

Prior to tip-off, the Quakers honored their five graduating seniors. Terry, Makabu, Josh Ozanne, AJ White, and student assistant coach DJ Ross were recognized for their contributions to the program. 

With Earlham on top 8-6 in the opening half, Transylvania went on a 17-2 run spanning just under four minutes. The Quakers returned fire with a 13-4 run to bring the score to 36-34 with four minutes remaining in the half. 

The Quakers conclude their season with a 5-20 record, and a 4-14 mark in HCAC competition. EC knocked down top-25 ranked Wabash College in non-conference action, and finished the season in eighth place in the standings.
