RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's basketball team continued its season with Senior Day in Druley Performance Gym on Saturday afternoon. The Quakers fell to Hanover College 77-47 in the contest.
Prior to tip-off, the Quakers honored seniors
Neely Trenshaw,
Eva Lyon, and
Kinzi Brooks.
Trenshaw is a four-year member of the program. A native of Nappanee, Ind. she has recorded 60 starts so far in her career and has played over 1,700 minutes. With 409 career points, Trenshaw has reached her career high of 17 points three times.
Lyon joined the hoops squad for the 2021-22 season. She is also a member of the women's soccer team at EC. Lyon has appeared in 26 career games, and garnered five starts. She has recorded 5+ rebounds in four games, and averages 2.7 per game.
Brooks is another four-year player with 55 career games and seven starts. Her most productive season came last year. After averaging over 21 minutes per game, Brooks eclipsed the 100-point mark for the season, she also hit double-digit points three times in the season.
Jay Bright and
Alexis Gibson led the Quakers against Hanover with 13 points each.
Amari Bradford led the team in rebounds with seven, while Gibson followed with six.
The Quakers will be back in action this Wednesday against Bluffton University in Druley Performance Gym. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
