RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's basketball team continued HCAC play with a 73-56 loss to Manchester University in Druley Performance Gym on Saturday afternoon.
Joffrey Nunnally and
Ken Walker led the offense with 14 points each.
Jackson Rhodes and
Connor Smith led the team in rebounding with six boards each.
As a team, the Quakers shot 41.5% on field goals, and 36% from 3-point range.
Through the opening 10 minutes, Earham took an 18-11 lead, led by
Kendell Cave with seven points. The Spartans then went on an 11-2 run to take the lead at 22-20 with 5:48 remaining in the half. The Spartans outscored the Quakers 27-11 in the final 10 minutes of the half.
Manchester began the second half with a 13-6 run to extend the lead to 51-35 with just under 14 minutes remaining in the half.
The Quakers will be back in action in the Athletics and Wellness Center on Wednesday night against Bluffton University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
