CARMEL, Ind. – On Monday, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the winners of the weekly Athlete of the Week recognition. 

This week, Caylee Brandes of Earlham volleyball was named HCAC Offensive Player of the Week, 

Brandes helped lead the Quakers to a 2-0 week to finish the regular season, and earn the No.4 seed in the HCAC Tournament. The sophomore recorded 33 kills (4.125 kills/set) with a .375 attack percentage. 

On Wednesday, she hit 15 kills with a .484 percentage and seven blocks in a sweep of Berea. She then scored 18 kills with a .293 percentage and four blocks in a five-set win over Anderson. 

The Quakers continue play on Wednesday against Hanover College in the first round of the HCAC Volleyball Tournament. First serve is scheduled for 7 pm in Druley Performance Gym.
