ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Earlham College men's basketball team continued play with an 86-67 loss at Muskingum University on Saturday afternoon.
Tavian Tatum led the Quakers in scoring with 16 points. He also pulled in three rebounds and had one block.
Ken Walker scored 14 points and dished out a team-high two assists.
Landen Hale scored 13, and had 11 rebounds for his first career double-double. The freshman also led the team with two blocks.
After trailing 6-1, the Quakers scored a 7-3 run to take a 10-9 lead. Later in the half, Muskingum asserted the first major lead of the game with an 11-2 run.
Hale hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 48-39 at the 18:02 mark of the second half. The Muskies then scored a 13-1 run and led 64-42.
The Quakers have a week off before hosting the Melissa Johnson/HOPE Classic with the women's team. Earlham will take on Carnegie Mellon University, and DePauw University next weekend in Druley Performance Gym.
