SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The Earlham College cross country team competed in the HCAC Championship meet at Blue River Cross Country Course on Saturday afternoon.
The women's team finished in eighth place in the conference standings, while the men finished in ninth place.
13 Quakers improved on their time from the first trip to Blue River in September.
Cleo Saltz led the way for the women's team with a 25:47.85 in the 6k race. Saltz finished in 29th place overall.
Lily Schamel finished in 26:37.97, and
Akiko Tajima followed right behind with a new PR time of 26:39.8.
On the men's side,
Peyton Chanley led the Quakers in 75th-place with a new PR time of 29:44.7 in the 8K.
Levi Call finished just two spots behind with a 29:49.79.
Anthony Gough and
Michael Pacheco ran new personal bests with finishing times of 30:25.3, and 33:10.9.
Quakers wishing to continue their season will have an opportunity to compete on November 16th at Blue River again for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.
