RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's basketball team fell to Mount St. Joseph University 88-72 in HCAC action on Saturday afternoon.
Ken Walker led all scorers with 23 points, six assists and two steals.
Tavian Tatum brought down 15 rebounds, marking his third consecutive game with at least 10 boards.
Landen Hale reached double-digits with 11 points.
After three minutes of play, the Quakers led 9-2, with five points and two assists from Walker. At the 11:25 mark, Mount St. Joseph tied the score at 16 with an 8-2 run. Tied at 33 with just under four minutes remaining in the half, MSJ scored a 6-0 run to end the frame.
The Lion lead reached double digits at the 16:32 mark of the second half with a 52-42 score. Earlham scored a 10-3 run, including two 3-pointers to bring the score to 57-52 at the 13:29 mark. Starting at the 11:50 mark, Mount scored a 13-2 run and opened up a 16-point lead.
Earlham continues play in Druley Performance Gym on Tuesday evening against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at 7:30 pm.
