CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday the year-end awards for men's basketball for the 2023-24 season. This season, Ken Walker earned Newcomer of the Year honors for Earlham College.

In addition to the special award, Walker placed on the second team all-conference list. 

Walker led the Quakers with 477 points on the season. The freshman appeared in all 25 games, and started in 24 contests. Garnering 900 total minutes played, Walker averaged 36 minutes per game. 

Ken led the Quakers in numerous offensive stats on the season, including points, field goal percentage, 3-pointers made, free throw percentage, assists and steals. He was also top-three on the team in 3-point percentage, rebounds and blocks. 

Averaging 19.1 points per game, Walker scored double-digit points in all but one game on the season, and he eclipsed 10 points in 22 straight games to end the season. In HCAC games, Walker averaged 20.9 points per game, which was the top mark in the conference.
