RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team defeated Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 5-4 on the Gene Hambrick Varsity Tennis Courts on Sunday.
Maddie Cherry led the Quakers with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No.1 singles. Payto Dugan followed with a 6-3,6-4 win at the No.2 spot.
Natalee McCann took a sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No.4 singles.
Madison Ruwersma rounded out the singles matches with a 6-2, 6-4 win at the No.6 spot.
In doubles, McCann and Dugan won 8-4 at No.2.
The Quakers will take part in the HCAC Tournament next weekend as the No.6 seed in the standings.
