RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's lacrosse team opened Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a 13-4 loss to Hanover College in Darrell Beane Stadium on a rainy Wednesday evening.
The Quakers fell to 5-4, 0-1 HCLC while the Panthers improved to 4-8, 1-1 HCLC.
Robert Gift led the offense with two goals and one assist on the evening.
Jacob Bandfield and
Mark Resig scored one goal each.
Donovan Shea led the Quakers with nine ground balls and eight faceoff wins.
Ethan Upton caused four turnovers and picked up three balls.
In the cage,
Braden Greeno collected 18 saves.
The Quakers were outshot 55-31, and posted an 80% clear rate.
Earlham continues play on Saturday at home with an 11 am matchup with Cornell College.
