RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College volleyball team has shaken up the coaching staff ahead of the 2024 season. 

Formerly serving as graduate assistant coach and technical coordinator, Cal Pringle takes over as the full-time assistant coach for the fall. Pringle has been on the Quaker staff for three seasons, including the HCAC Regular Season Championship in 2021. In three seasons, six players have earned either first or second team all-conference honors with Pringle on staff. 

Taking over the graduate assistant position is Victoria Long. Long comes from Quaker rival Wilmington College, and graduated in 2024 with a degree in primary education. Long played four seasons for the Fightin' Quakers, and earned academic All-OAC honors. 

Lauren Horton remains with the Quakers for her 10th season as head coach. Over the past seven years under Horton, Earlham has posted an average finish of 3.7 in the conference standings, and a 39-24 record in HCAC play.

"Cal is a passionate student of the game. He brings energy and passion each day. He's a great teacher and connects well with our athletes on the court" Said Horton. "Victoria is an experienced athlete and leader. I am excited to see her grow in the role and move our team forward . She has already brought lots of energy and new insight into our conversations and season prep work. I am very excited about our staff this year!"

The Quakers are set to begin fall action on August 30 in the Quaker opener tournament. The first match of the weekend is scheduled for 3 pm against the College of Wooster on court 1.
