RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College field hockey team battled Transylvania University with a 3-0 loss in Darrell Beane Stadium on Saturday.
After a scoreless opening frame, the Pioneers scored three goals in the second quarter. Earlham then held the visitors scoreless in the second half.
Both teams recorded five shots, with Earlham placing three on cage to four from Transylvania.
Ainsley Kemp collected one save.
Piper Brill led the attack with two shots on goal.
Earlham continues play on Tuesday evening against DePauw in Darrell Beane Stadium. The contest is scheduled for 7 pm.
