WOOSTER, Ohio – The Earlham College field hockey team fell to The College of Wooster 3-2 in NCAC play on Sunday afternoon.
The Scots scored the first goal of the game in the 13th minute of play.
In the 15th minute, Earlham responded,
Piper Brill scored with an assist from
Alex Ball. Wooster retook the lead just 40 seconds later on a long shot, deflected by the offense.
After trailing 2-1 at halftime,
Meredith McGraw scored on a penalty stroke to level the score at two.
The final goal of the game came for Wooster in the 52nd minute.
Earlham outshot the Scots 18-7, and placed eight shots on cage.
Jalyn Kelsey led the attack with six shots.
Ainsley Kemp collected two saves in goal.
The Quakers continue conference action on Thursday at Transylvania University at 5:30 pm.
